White privilege is when the term ‘gypsy’ is turned into a fashion statement, with vibrant colours, sequins and patterns sold at ridiculously high prices to look cultured. When in fact there’s still gypsies around in the mountains of the Middle East still considered dirty, inferior, discriminated against, paid lower than anyone else or if paid anything else. HA! Being considered the scum of the earth is a gypsy not another indie.

I just glanced at the notes and I was glad to see that out of 70 reblogs/likes, at least 5 were offended/chastising. At least 7% of the general tumblr population is aware of how offensive that post was.
